Follow-up Friday: Dogs and Giveaways

I'm happy to be joining Heart Like a Dog in the follow-up Friday blog hop this week.  This is the blog hop that lets you wrap up your week and leads you right into the weekend.  Hosted by FUF creator, Jodi at Heart Like a Dog and co-hosted this week by JoAnn at Sand Spring Chesapeakes

If you missed Dog Song Saturday this past week, you missed a dog-gone good parody!  Best Dog Ever is The Pet Collective's version of the One Direction song, Best Song Ever.  On tomorrow's post we're doing something a little different in honor of Rudy.

Sorry to say, Moses, the Pit Bull dog featured this week is still seeking a home.
Moses is still available for adoption from the HSMO in St Louis

Thanks for all your lovely comments about Falling in Love with a Lab Puppy.  What I love most about Rudy's story is that the dog daddy at our house grew up believing dogs belonged outside.  I suspect he never dreamed he would share his bed with not one, but three or four dogs, let alone fall so in love with a puppy that he just had to have him.
It reminds me of that Nora Ephron quotation:
You enter into a certain amount of madness when you marry a person with pets.
The dog daddy had no idea what he was getting into when he hooked up with me!  Snoopy is so right:  Mischief is good!

Giveaways - Be sure to enter Rudy's Birthday Giveaway of a Jolly ball.  If asked, Rudy would say his Jolly balls are his favorite things in life, second only to his sister, Rosie.   Over the years so many readers have asked about them (after seeing photos of my dogs playing with them), that it seemed like the perfect giveaway.  They come in 3 sizes, so even if your dog is not a big one, there's a size for you!

Congratulations to Kate V!  She was selected at random via Rafflecopter as the winner of our Dog City and Co t-shirt giveaway.

If you'd like a chance to win this For Love of a Dog bracelets, be sure to visit K9 Kamp!  My A Walk in the Park paw print bracelet is just one of several barking good prizes at K9 Kamp during the month of October.

A word of warning, so to speak, it's getting on to that time of year and you'll find more and more of my blog posts devoted to promoting For Love of a Dog Jewelry.  As one of Santa's elves, it is my duty!

  4. I think you are correct that marrying someone with pets is a whole new can of worms...but a good thing :) Mom is the one with pets and if someone doesn't want us around all the time, Mom has no time for them either!

  7. Congrats to the Kate on winning the shirt!
Moses is so handsome - surely he will find his furever home soon.
Oooh, I like that quote. The dogdad here never knew he was a dog person until we adopted our first one together (who wasn't my first dog, but was his). It took him all of maybe one day to become a super dog person, lol.
