Celebrate Jeffie's Birthday with Monkeys: Enter now!

Hey!  So glad you got your invitation!

Thanks for coming to our gala celebration for birthday boy and talking dog, Jeffie.  Jeffie is celebrating his 7th birthday and we're going to party the whole month of April!

You read that right:  the whole month of April!  We have lots of fun planned including Jeffie puppy photos, stories about Jeffie, birthday party photos and giveaways every single week!

So, let's get this party started!

To kick things off, today we have a giveaway!

One lucky Talking Dogs reader will win something
for their dog and something for themselves!

At our house all dog toys are called "monkeys." And Jeffie loves monkeys!

One of Jeffie's favorite monkeys is a furry water bottle toy.  So, the first part of today's giveaway is a Skinneeez Big Bite dog toy.  Jeffie loves the crunch and crackle of the water bottle inside, plus the flopping action when he gives it a good death shake!

This Skinneeez Big Bite is a caramel colored bear.  A plastic water bottle is covered by a soft, furry covering that looks like a bear.  A Velcro opening lets you replace the water bottle when needed.  Or you can simply remove it and enjoy this toy as a flat, no-stuffing critter.  It's about 18" long and lots of fun!

Continuing our monkey theme, the second part of today's prize is a pair of hand crafted For Love of a Dog monkey earrings!

Pretty dog-gone cute handmade lampwork monkey heads are three dimensional.  The dangles are fat scarlet red artisan lampwork hearts. Whoa... cute!   They're on french hook earring findings, but that can be changed to clip-ons.

Details:  One lucky person will win both the Skinneez Big Bite dog toy AND the For Love of a Dog monkey earrings.  Just follow the Rafflecopter below to enter.  (Sorry, open to US and Canada residents only.)

Disclosure:  The Skinneeez Big Bite dog toy was purchased for this event (retail value: $7) and the For Love of a Dog earrings were created by me especially for this event (retail value: $30.)

  3. Water bottles are Max's favorite thing I think and add a stuffingless toy to it and he's a happy boy. Now Boof, he just goes for the squeaker!

    Love the monkey earrings!

    1. Jeffie's all-time fave is a "crackle kitty" water bottle toy with arms and legs that flap around. He's gone through 3 of them (the third is currently in the monkey hospital for surgery), but I looked high and low and couldn't find one for the giveaway :-(

Jeffie would say Max has excellent taste!

  4. actually I am embarrassed that we DON'T have special and creative names for our toys! For the Fox I call it "Fox Baby" The lamb, "Lamb Baby"...real creative eh? lol
Dakota's favorite toy is his red, white and blue ball that I got him at the Dollar Store 2 yrs ago! Go figure!
Great give-away! I LOVE the monkey earrings!

  5. We don't have special names for Rita's toys. We just call them all by their specific name: "Flat pig" "bunny dog", "Big pig" (yeah, we have several pigs). Rita doesn't really have a favorite - she tries to love them all equally! I think Rita would enjoy that crinkly water-bottle toy, and I have a dog-crazy friend who calls mischievous dogs "monkey dogs" and loves all things monkey - I would love to surprise her with those earrings as a present! (I can't wear earrings, myself. I have a huge collection, but suddenly became allergic to ALL of them, no matter what they're made of, about 10 years ago. :( Mostly only do clip-ons now, but they rarely make cute/comfortable clip on earrings.)

  6. You're so much more creative than I am...all the toys here are "toys." Yeah, pretty darn boring I know. "Get a toy, where's the toy...."

  8. My furry sibling "Freddie" (a.k.a. Basset Momma's boy!) actually has a sock monkey type toy that I gave him when he first got sick and he's loved it ever since :) It's one of the few toys he doesn't rip apart haha. As we all know, Freddie likes to cause mischief! ;) Those sock monkey earrings are ADORABLE! I'm in love with the jewellery you make!

Each toy has it's own name, here. Otherwise how do you tell them apart?

  10. Favorite toys keep changing. Katy has a series of crinkly toys she loves. Right now Bailey is going back and forth between a pig that grunts and a rooster that crows that the Easter bunny left.

BTW, which date is Jeffie's birthday?

  18. We don't have any special names for the dog toys, but Artie loves all of them. He will get every one of them out of the toy basket. I don't think he had toys before he was rescued.

  19. Sissy has some favorite toys at our house. One of her favorites in a Skinneez mini flamingo that we call "mingo". When I tell her to get mingo she always brings it back. Unfortunately, it is in sad condition and is now brown and had to be sewed last week. She also has the brown fox, skunk a pig and white polar bear. They are her favorites.

  20. I do, I tell Toby to go get her "pretties". That's what I call her toys and she knows exactly what I am saying. Her favorite toy is this little plush squeaky heart. Very pretty. She loves it!

  23. We don't have a special name and Wilson's favorite is the one the other dog has.

  25. Happy Birthday Jeffie!!! We don't have a special name for toys in our house but it seems like all the pups have their favorites. Jake has a big white bear that he loves to carry around and hit people with (it's much loved--missing an arm and part of a foot from various 'repairs'). BooBoo has a plush 'french fry' that she love--it's a green and yellow box with plush french fries coming out the top complete with arms and legs... mary987 (at) hotmail (dot) com

  26. None of Shiloh's toys have particularly special names, and his favorite toy changes daily. I think his favorite is probably the jolly pets teaser ball. But he likes all his toys. His favorites tend to be ones that he can flap around and hit himself in the head, act in unpredictable ways (like the teaser ball), make an unusual sound, or provide some sort of puzzle. He's just a happy boy, he loves all toys so long as it means he gets to play =)
