Many Pets Found New Homes Today: Wayside Waifs Pet Adoption Event

What a pleasure to write about the happy news of so many wonderful dogs and cats finding their furever homes in just one day!

The Adoptathon is underway at Wayside Waifs and continues through Sunday, June 19.  It's a joyful thing to watch this video they just posted of so many dogs and cats who've found new homes and families today!

Pet adoption fees are reduced this weekend only and apply to every animal in their shelter.  Over 300 adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, many of them rescued from the storm stricken areas of Joplin and Caruthersville, MO.  These animals were evacuated from those tornado and flood devastated communities and brought to Wayside Waifs for adoption.  Many were surrendered by their owners who can no longer care for them, others were homeless before the storms hit and needed to be transferred to make room for animals displaced by the storms.

Wayside Waifs is located at 3901 Martha Truman Road in Kansas City, MO.  Phone is 816-761-8151 or you can visit the Wayside Waifs web site for more information.

Now, settle in for a great slide show of adopted pets and their new peeps, accompanied by Kenny Chesney's You Had Me from Hello.
