There is some good news coming from Joplin after the devastating tornado swept through the town on May 22. Thanks to the efforts of many animal welfare groups, including the Joplin Humane Society, the Missouri Humane Society, HSUS and ASPCA, over 1,000 pets have been rescued and almost 300 have been reunited with their families.
Oh this made me cry! So nice to see some happy endings.
ReplyDeleteI KNOW what these storms can do to a person or animal, both in injury and mental anguish, having been through two tornadoes (1982/1985) in the same house. But God was good in that all my pets and art survived.
ReplyDeleteI am running some auctions of my art and other items on ebay and ebid.net to help raise money for the Joplin Humane Society.

To let you know this is legit, I have contacted the Joplin Humane Society and told them this is what I am doing to help out. Their number is (417) 623-3642
And thanks.
