Stormy Day Distraction | Wordless Wednesday

As long as the thunder and lightning is not too wicked,
a filled KONG is a good distraction for Rudy.

  1. Great idea to distract Rudy if he is scared. Plus it gives you a chance to take some very cute pictures :)

  2. My current dog could care less if it's thundering but my last one would run around the house barking and looking out the windows. He'd start complaining when the thunder was far off and as it got closer and closer, he'd get louder and louder. I think he thought it was a truck coming down our street. The filled Kong is a great idea, though!

  3. Rudy is so cute! I'm glad the stuffed kong works for him. We haven't found anything to help our noise phobic dog. :( She will even panic if she hears fireworks on tv. :( It sucks and we've tried pretty much everything short of some heavy drugs.

  4. Whatever works. Katie just needs a dark corner to sleep in, Bailie, Bert, and I don't care, and Sophie is under the bed. Enjoy!

  5. Great idea! I got bored with my Kongs so mom got rid of them, maybe she should try again when it storms! Love Dollly

  6. What a great idea to distract him! We'll have to try that sometime. We haven't really had many storms this year....knock wood.

  7. That's great!! Every time it storms I'm so grateful that my dogs are not afraid of it. Although on particular loud bouts of thunder Sampson feels the need to go outside and bark at the sky. :-)

  8. At the first hint of thunder, we suit Bentley up in the Thundershirt. Playing games with him is a great distraction.

  9. Gotta love the Kong. Who cares about thunder when you have a delicious treat to work at?
