When I noticed this pair of ducks on the creek behind our backyard, I tried to get a photo without the dogs catching on. Rudy was out in the southeast corner trying to find our solo squirrel. Jeffie was on perimeter patrol. Rosie was sitting on the deck observing the boy dogs.
Until she spotted the waterfowl and raced to the backyard fence. Though she didn't bark, the ducks took off.
Jeffie turned around to see what was going on, but missed the whole thing.
He was obviously not impressed with Rosie's skills.

Scaring the ducks is one of our favorite pastimes too
ReplyDeleteAt least you got a couple of pictures in. Well done Rosie.
ReplyDeleteLeroy did this to me the other day when I was trying to get a picture of some birds!
ReplyDeletePerfect reaction Jeffie. A dog after my own heart. :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job on capturing the beautiful wood ducks. Love the Jeffie peeing picture. I love peeing and pooping pictures.
ReplyDeleteNiles would've been going crazy for those ducks! Also, I died laughing at Jeffie's reaction to the whole ordeal! XD
ReplyDeleteI like Jeffie's attitude! (Did you tweak your blog layout a bit? Was that a while ago and I'm just now noticing?? I'm slow... Anyway, it looks good!)
ReplyDeleteHey, Jackie - thanks for noticing :-) Slowly, but surely doing some "house cleaning."
DeleteHey Jeffie
ReplyDeleteI think you're gonna have to be a little quicker to catch the action in your backyard, I would have been all over it! :)
I hope you're having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Jeffie, you missed the whole thing! Like he cared! After a quick look at what is happening, he returned to doing his own thing! hahaah.. Clever dog, minding his own business. Rosie on the other hand looked and acted like a lady. If one of the boys saw the duck first, they would jumped around the creek and barked at the ducks there. While she just stood there unphased by their existence. An extraordinary lady indeed!
ReplyDeleteLOL ducks are always a bonus find!
