Those of you who follow this blog know that Jeffie, Rudy and Rosie love their Jolly balls. At the moment we have three.
Yesterday when I ran out to my studio I realized that there was a red Jolly ball that had lost it's rope on the porch of my studio.
That's not all that unusual. We've replaced ropes before.
So I picked up the ball and took it to the Jolly ball hospital (the mudroom.)
Early this morning the Dog Daddy says to me: what's up with the Jolly ball rope on the arbor?
Huh?
Can you see it dangling down amongst the wisteria vines?
There it is. No Jolly ball, just the rope.
The arbor is 9 foot off the deck. There's no way the dogs flung it up here. I didn't do it. The Dog Daddy didn't do it. It's a pretty heavy cotton rope that is a little over two feet long, so it is doubtful Skeeter or a bird did it.
Cue the Twilight Zone music.

A true mystery. Maybe a bird of prey thought it was a snake?
ReplyDeleteBTW, love the Jolly Ball Hospital. We have a stuffed toy hospital, too. For a really special toy, I'll re-stuff it and sew it back together.

Hmmmmm, very very weird indeed.
ReplyDeleteVery strange. We have stuffy emergencies. Dog Dad had to declare a Valentine Heart DOA on Saturday. Bailey was very distressed.
ReplyDeletenow that is a mystery

Maybe Jeffie, Rudy or Rosie had climbed the wisteria vines. You'll never know ;-)
ReplyDeleteomg too funny! Maybe a squirrel?
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny. I'm sure the dogs are pointing fingers at the cat. The cat probably gets blamed for everything at your house. :)
ReplyDeleteOh bizarre. I'm with Jackie. It's the cat.
ReplyDeleteThat is a mystery for sure. Any mini humans in the area?
ReplyDeleteJolly Balls are the best!! Our first dog was crazy about her soccer balls, which never lasted long. Nobody told us about Jolly Balls. Ours have lasted a couple of years already and our two dogs love them. We have a red one and a blue one, and they seem to know which one is theirs!
ReplyDeleteOh, ours sometimes end up in the trees too, but that's because Rob threw it too high.
ReplyDeletehehehe, that was one wicked head shake to get it up there!
ReplyDeleteMe thinks there's some mischief going on! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
How funny! How in the heck did it get up there? It's a mystery. :)
ReplyDeleteOh a mystery!
ReplyDeleteThat is a mystery! I love my jolly ball, it's my favourite toy!
