Missouri Puppy Mills Will Continue if MO Senate Committee Has Their Way

How dumb do our elected officials think we are?  Pretty dumb.  The Missouri Senate will be hearing and taking action on more than one bill that guts MO Prop B - the Puppy Mill Cruelty Prevention Act.

The legislators supporting these bills assure us that they are not repealing MO Prop B, which the voters approved this past November.  Oh no, they say, they're just tweaking it.

Their tweaks include:  no limits on the number of dogs in any commercial breeding operation, no requirement for additional space per cage, no requirements for fresh water, food or veterinary care.

Tweaks?  They're trying to gut the new law.

No honorable dog breeder is afraid of our original Prop B.  It's about the humane treatment of dogs.

Never seen a puppy mill?  Take a look at this video.  Footage is taken at puppy mill rescues while Kathy Warnick of the Humane Society of Missouri talks about the impact of puppy mills on animal shelters.
