At our house our dog bowls are an uncoordinated mix-up of vintage souffle pan, and a couple of cute dog bowls. All are ceramic pottery which means taking some extra care to not crack or full-out break one. So when I was offered a Robusto dog bowl from Loving Pets, I happily agreed to give it a try. Loving Pets says their Robusto dog bowls are nearly indestructible. In fact, they survived a true test of durability. They ran one over with a 6500 pound truck and there was no damage! Seriously, no dents or scratches. Robusto Bowls feature solid heavy gauge aluminum with cute creamic-like, bacteria resistant interiors. Reasonable prices from $9.99 to $19.99. Key Benefits:
We received a large size Robusto Bowl in ivory with scarlet dog bone interior pattern and I love it!
Though Jeffie and Rudy are not messy eaters or drinkers, Rosie seems to send more water onto the floor than she manages to get in her mouth. So I was delighted that we also received a Bella Mat to try, too.
Bella® Spill-Proof Dog Mats prevents splashes and retain spills. They have raised edges for maximum spill capacity, a slip-resistant, dog bone embossed surface, plus anti-skid feet to prevent slips, slides, nose and loor damage. They are non-toxic and BPA free. Great for indoor or outdoor use. Priced from $10.99 for the small size 18.25 x 13.25 x 1.5 high) and $13.99 for the large size (21.25 inches long by 15.5 inches wide by 1.75 inches high.)
Key Benefits:
Our Verdict: All paws up! The Robusto bowl is definitely sturdy and easy to wash. Plus, it's very attractive. The Bella Mat is wonderful and saving our floors from Rosie's enthusiastic water lapping. Fetch Loving Pets Products website for more information and to purchase your own. * We received one large Robusto Bowl and Bella Mat from Loving Pets Products in exchange for our honest review of the products. We received no other compensation - financial or otherwise. Talking Dogs only shares information about pet products we believe our readers might enjoy. |

Science Diet Fruity Snacks for Dogs from @Chewy.com | Tasty Tuesday
We love Chewy.com, so when they asked if we'd like to try some new dog treats, we woofed in the affirmative. With their usual speedy service, Chewy.com had a package of Hill's Science Diet Fruity Snacks in our paws in just two days.
Available in several varieties, we received the Apples and Oatmeal dog treats.
This attractive ziplock package contains quit a quantity of small, crunchy dog cookies. They really do look like little (human) cookies and have a good wholesome smell.
According to Chewy.com, Hill's Science Diet Fruity Snacks with Apples and Oatmeal dog treats are delicious, all-natural treats made from only the best ingredients. Naturally preserved, with no corn, artificial colors or flavors. Made with apples, natural sources of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients.
Ingredients: Ground Wheat, Oat Flour, Dried Apples, Oatmeal, Chicken Meal, Flaxseed, Beet Pulp, Molasses, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid).
Nutrient Content:
Protein 17.%
Fat 7.2 %
Carbohydrate (NFE) 68.5%
Crude Fiber 2.1%
27 kcat per treat (8 grams/treat)
An 8.8 oz bag of Fruity Snacks retails for $4.99 at Chewy.com, but is currently on sale for $4.79.
Jeffie, Rudy and Rosie really love these treats. After the first sniff, even picky Jeffie was eager for more.
I like these treats because they're small enough to be great training treats. They're crunchy and good for my dogs' teeth and gums. They're made in the US with natural ingredients, too.
I also like the story behind Hill's pet food:
We frequently order from Chewy.com. I love their selection of over 300 brands of pet food, pet treats, pet toys and other pet supplies. In fact, I got a little carried away with their holiday sale on dog toys, but that's another blog post! Though Chewy.com is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, they have warehouses located throughout the US, so usually orders are delivered in just a day or two. Plus, I love Chewy.com's Shelter and Rescue Network.
We're pleased to give Hill's Science Diet Fruity Snacks and Chewy.com our highest recommendation!

I also like the story behind Hill's pet food:
The Hill's® pet food lines began in 1939. Dr. Mark L. Morris Sr. believed certain health conditions in pets could be managed through carefully formulated nutrition. His ideas were visionary in veterinary medicine, and he soon had the chance to prove his theory.
A young blind man named Morris Frank asked Dr. Morris if anything could be done to help his guide dog, Buddy, who was having kidney health issues. The result of Dr. Morris' efforts was the nutritional formulation that became the first product in the Hill's Prescription Diet line of therapeutic pet foods, and the world's first pet food designed for kidney health. Soon after, Hill's Pet Nutrition was founded and the field of clinical nutrition sprang to life. That first therapeutic dog food evolved into Hill's® Prescription Diet® k/d®, which is still sold today.

We love Natural Balance pet products, so when Chewy.com offered to let us try a Natural Balance Holiday Gift Pack, we were delighted.
As always, Chewy.com shipped our order with speed and before we knew it, Jeffie had a fresh opportunity to guard us from the UPS delivery man.
What a fun package arrived! The Natural Balance Holiday Gift Pack contained a package of dog treats, a small can of dog food, and a roll of turkey dog food. What a fantastic way to give these Natural Balance products a try. Value priced at only $5.99, you can't go wrong.
L.I.T. Limited Ingredient Sweet Potato and Chicken Formula Dog Treats - We received an 8 ox bag of Small Breed dog treats. I like the small size - perfect for training rewards. These are also available in a larger "Regular" 14 ox bag. Priced from $5.49 to $9.99. These are small, crunchy little cookie wafers. Grain free, made in the USA, and formulated for pups with allergies and/or sensitive stomachs. The small dog variety (which we received) are about 5 kcal per treat. The larger size are about 15 kcal per treat.
Chicken Ultra Premium Canned Formula - We received a 6 oz can and noticed that in addition to chicken, it contains carrots, brown rice and potatoes. It looks like a thick stew when you open the can and definitely smells good. Available in 6 oz cans like we received and in larger 13 oz cans, cases are priced from $23.00 and $29.99.
Premium Dog Food Roll Turkey Formula - We received a little miniature package that looked very much like a tube of turkey sausage. It smelled delicious. Even the dog daddy was drooling. Available in 1 lb, 2.5 lb, and 4 lb rolls from $6.99 to $13.99, but on sale now at Chewy.
There are lots of reasons to like Natural Balance Pet Foods.

Product Review: Rubit Dog Tag Clip
![]() |
| Small Rubit.. |
Need a Christmas stocking stuffer for a dog lover? Have we got a great product for you!
In August I read about the Rubit Dog Tag Clip on the Chronicles of Cardigan blog. Elizabeth and Corgis, Jon Farleigh and Dewi, were testing them. I was definitely intrigued. You see, once the dog's tags are attached to the split ring on the Rubit, you can easily move all tags at once from one collar to another. No more broken fingernails, no more frustration.
Living beyond the sidewalks has it drawbacks. Though one of the farm supply stores in "our" town said they would be carrying them, time passed and they didn't actually appear.
Once again we were assisted by Chronicles of Cardigan. We were the lucky winners of a Rubit Dog Tag Clip from their Happiness is... pet photo contest.

| The large round Rubit Dog Tag Clip we won. |
We received a large round clip in black as our prize. We loved it so much that we headed straight to the Rubit web store and ordered Rubit Dog Tag Clips for each of our dogs, plus some to give as gifts. The smallest one is perfect for my mom's Lhasa Apso.
The Rubit (roo-bit) Dog Tag Clip is so handy! When you want to change collars, just unclip the Rubit from one collar and clip it to the next. They're available in small, medium, and large sizes, plus a nice variety of colors.
We give the Rubit Dog Tag Clip our highest recommendation.
