Wellness CORE Protein Bars for Dogs from @Chewy | Product Review

When I realized that the folks who make Old Mother Hubbard dog biscuits are the same who make Wellness CORE Protein Bars for dogs, I could hardly wait to try them.  Old Mother Hubbard dog biscuits are the favorite around our house.  All three of my dogs love their crunchy goodness.

All three also love these protein bars! They're a part of the Wellness gourmet dog treats line and the whole point is healthy dog treats with no empty calories.

Wellness CORE is based on the nutritional philosophy that dogs, given their primal ancestry, thrive on a diet mainly comprised of meat. These nutrient-dense protein nuggets are packed with quality animal protein, without fillers or grains, along with wholesome superfoods. Each tender bite delivers an incredibly healthy and exceptionally tasty way to treat your dog.

We received a bag in the Beef and Bison with Blueberries recipe.

Guaranteed Analysis:
Crude Protein  not less than 26%
Crude Fat  not less than 18%
Crude Fiber  not more than 4%
Moisture not more than 20%
16 Calories per Treat

These treats are not a uniform shape.  Trying to halve them means they kind of come apart.  Plus, because of the irregular size of these treats, I had to use my judgement about the calories.  Jeffie and Rosie who are watching their weight, received the smaller bits.
Jeffie didn't care if these protein bars contained blueberries.
My dogs really love these tasty treats.  Even Jeffie, who does not like blueberries, would have liked to eat the whole bag.

Our Verdict
Though I do wish they were easier to break into smaller pieces, I have to agree with my dogs:  PAWS UP for these healthy natural dog treats!
Sweet Rosie patiently waited her turn for these yummy treats.

  7. We reviewed another flavor of these treats and they looked different. Must depend on which flavor as to how they looked. The dogs really loved them.
