Ode to a Dog by Nicolette Aubourg | Dog Song Saturday

It's Saturday!  Time for Dog Song Saturday at Talking Dogs.  Today we're sharing Ode to a Dog by Nicolette Aubourg.

Ode to a Dog is an original dog song Aubourg composed to celebrate some of the dogs she's known. It's accompanied by a beautiful video of those dogs.  She notes that some are no longer alive, but their spirits and love live on forever in our hearts.

Ode to a Dog is on Aubourg's Songs from Willow Glen album which was released in 2007.  Add it to your playlist by purchasing from Amazon, cdbaby or iTunes.

Guitarist-singer-songwriter Nicolette Aubourg was born in South Africa where she studied and performed music and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English Literature before moving to Los Angeles. Nicolette performs her music locally and in South Africa and has released two full length CD's and two singles.

With social commentary on subjects such as war, apartheid, vivisection, the outsourcing of jobs, as well songs about dogs, online dating, life in the Hollywood Hills, poems by Yeats and Shelley, and a tribute to Nelson Mandela, Nicolette Aubourg's music is diverse, blending accomplished finger-style guitar playing with a unique voice. Her songs have received many awards and her music has been heard on radio and TV around the world.
